Hmmm … that wine was your favorite but maybe now you’re smelling or tasting something off…?

This workshop can help you identify what might be going funky in your wine. Dick Minnis, home winemaker with +20 years of vintages has educated home winemaking clubs on good winemaking practices. Oxidation, sulfur and phenols are often heard in his presentations.

In this workshop, Dick discusses, in detail, common wine faults – the cause (when and why), identification (what??), possible fixes, and prevention. No matter how careful we are, unwanted things can happen in our wines – wine makers at all levels can benefit from this session.

Workshop participants are encouraged to bring 1-2 bottles of possibly flawed wine for tasting and discussion. Wine education often overflows into food and drink so plan to stay for lunch.
