Story Vineyards, Old Vine, Dry Farm, Sustainable Raised Zinfandel Grapes, Shenandoah Valley, Amador County in the Sierra Foothills

We have 55 and 5 year old zinfandels available. We also have a very limited amount of Mission.

Our youngest grapes are unique because they have been grown from cuttings from our oldest 120 year old vines known as Picnic Hill and they are also the fruit of Turley’s Judge Bell Zinfandel.

On our ranch we have approximately 40 acres of dry farmed grapes. We sell our grapes to Turley, Rombauer, Borjon and Story wineries. Every year we are saddened to see some of our fruit go unpicked. I remember very fondly my childhood of waking up early on cold fall mornings and going as a family to pick grapes in Amador County. Thus, I would like to offer this to the home wine making community of Sacramento. After our family purchased Story Ranch in 1969 the family picks went by the wayside. My father and mother Dr. Eugene and Ann Story founded Story Winery but the winery was sold in the 90’s when it became too much work for my mother. She kept the vineyards and ranch. My husband and I still own and run the vineyards and ranch. We would love to have you make wine from our grapes.
