Don’t fall for it…

You know, the phishing emails that say “I’m on vacation and my wallet got stolen – please send money” or SHW President Marco asks you to do something quietly.

No SHW board member or appointee will ask you via email or text for money, to buy gift cards, or respond back to them discreetly or do anything that doesn’t sound right. If you receive a phishing email or text, try not to open it. Do not click on any links, don’t respond back. Report it as spam and immediately delete it.

If renewing your membership dues or paying for a Club event on-line via PayPal and the transaction comes back with a “try again later”, don’t. The web team will learn of your incomplete transaction and will be in touch with you shortly. When in doubt about emails or texts from Club leadership, check with the board member or appointee; their contact information can be found here.
