Sobon Estates / Shenandoah Valley Wines makes a special offer to home winemakers who haven’t yet had enough – wine grapes, that is.

Their vines are still hanging with Malbec and Muscat Hamburg (the latter makes a sweet wine) in Shenandoah Valley. At their Jackson Valley location, Tinta Cao and Souzao grapes are available.

The grapes are offered for free but interested parties must pay for the grapes to be hand-picked at $300 a ton. Minimum pick is 1 ton with 1/2 ton increments – no exceptions. Individuals are not allowed to pick their own grapes in these vineyards. No crusher or press are available for use. Grapes are picked into macros, “buyers” divide. Brix as of October 9 have reached 24-26.5.
