SHW winemakers continue to earn high awards in home wine competitions and this year was no exception. The Club’s coveted Rex Johnston Winemaker of the Year (WOY) award recognizes excellence in wine making evidenced by completion amongst peers.
One of the requirements to compete for WOY are wine entries into the Club’s Jubilee and Callifronia State Fair home wine competitions. The third competition is a recognized competition of the winemaker’s choice.
Competition season isn’t over yet. There’sa minimun of 2 home wine competitions still to take place before November 30.
SHW WOY entries must be submitted to the SHW Chief Judge by November 30. Rules and worksheet, along with more details, can be found here.
