Shake Ridge Vineyards is situated in the Sierra Foothills, five miles east of the charming town of Sutter Creek.  Since 2005, we have been the source of fruit to 40 different boutique wineries, including Turley, Tablas Creek, Tribute to Grace, Bedrock among many others, providing excellent quality grapes with character, color and concentration.

Shake Ridge grapes are tended with constant attention, yet minimal and judicious intervention. The vines are given limited inputs but are not asked to carry more crop than they can handle, encouraging strong, healthy plants, that produce wines of the highest quality.

The entire ranch is farmed organically – using just enough organic fertilizer and compost to support natural growth; utilizing cover crops for both nutrition and erosion control, attacking pests with natural predators and netting before harvest to prevent birds from making a feast of the delectable grapes.

For the 2024 season, we have the following available to home winemakers:

  • Mourvedre – clone 369 on 110R rootstock.  Harvest range – early to late October.
  • Grenache – clones 513 and 515, on St. George or 110R.  Early to late September.
