Group Crush: Rosé of Cabernet – Great Bear Vineyards, Davis, CA – Sustainable & Organic Grapes

Have you ever made a Rosé? It is like making white wine, but from red grapes. However, the red grapes must be picked early in the harvest season to ensure you get a bright refreshing Rosé.

Family Vineyard. SHW Members Jenny and Marcus Meadows-Smith of Great Bear Vineyards will be doing a group crush for SHW members on Saturday, August 31 or September 7. (The date might move +/- one week depending on the development of the grapes. Target is to pick at around 23 BRIX.) If you wish to do your own crush/destem, then GBV can pick grapes on most dates.

GBV Rosé has been awarded 96-Points at the CA State Fair in 2022 & 2023. GBV chose to ferment until dry and so has tasting notes: A crisp, dry rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of fresh lemon, lime, tart raspberry and strawberry.

$1 lb. 100 lb minimum.

Contact info: Marcus at 530 574 1516 or email greatbearvineyards@gmail.com.

P.S. Jenny & Marcus will also be running a group crush/destem for their award-winning red Cabernet Sauvignon.
