SHW’s Jubilee is a celebration of Club members and wines!

Thanks to everyone, wine entrants, volunteers and Picnic attendees, for a fun Jubilee weekend on June 3-4. Special appreciation is extended to:

  • Jubilee Wine Competition Mike Menard for a well-run wine competition. The cellar and hospitality crews ran like pros and the front of the house was spot on.
  • Jubilee Picnic Coordinator Judy Pinegar again welcomed us to her beautiful home winery and grounds for a comfortable picnic and awards party. Chef Don Vinson arrived early to smoke delicious entrees. Judy couldn’t this without the volunteers who helped her before and after the Sunday event – thank you!
  • Jubilee Wine Label Competition Coordinator and Jubilee Fundraiser Queen Heather Rodgers has the best organizational skills! Heather coordinated the 2023 Jubilee Wine Label Competition with 34 entries, and she also organized the silent auction which netted $240. The label contest’s top winners can be seen here.

Big congratulations to Byron and Kathy Froman! Their 2022 viognier won the Best of Show honors. This year, the Best of Show award came with a $200 cash prize in recognition of SHW’s 50th anniversary. Thanks to Bill Staehlin and Gin Yang, and an anonymous member for the donation. Results from the wine competition can be found here.
